design is good but cartridge changing is nightmare

I have the t693 chrome version, after 2 years i noticed when i turn the on hot water faucet the whole faucet body is turning with it. to shut off it is the same thing. I have asked plumber to fix it and got the 1248 cartridges as they said it is a cartridge problem. but on removing the faucet body they say the cartridge is below the tub deck and cannot be pulled out without tearing down the whole tub wall and do a new install. they are recommending a different brand as the valves can be removed through the hole and not for moen roman tub faucets. can you help

We are sorry to hear of the difficulty you are experiencing with your whole faucet body turning either on or off with your Moen Voss Chrome Two-Handle High Arc Roman Tub Faucet. The 161942-handle kit will need to be replaced to resolve the issue you are experiencing; replacing the cartridge will not resolve your issue. Very poor finish

We updated our master bath and 3 guest bathrooms. Moen fixtures were recommended. I liked the style. We chose Voss for all the faucets, shower,etc in all the baths. I was dismayed and disgusted by the water spotting on the fixtures. Even after cleaning them, the spots remain. I asked my dealer what I could do about it. I was told there is a wax polish I could use on them. I am not going to do that after every use.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Voss Chrome Two-Handle High Arc Roman Tub Faucet model T693. What you described is not consistent with the quality we strive to provide. Spots on the chrome finish are generally water deposits. To remove these spots, we suggest using a soft rag with a 50/50 solution of white vinegar/water and then wiping off with clean water. Dry the finish and occasionally apply either a furniture polish onto a rag and buff the finish or use a non-abrasive car wax. This should only need to be applied every few months or less. We love the Moen design. We recently remodeled our bathrooms and the Moen products fit very well. The bathtub valve allows great water flow and can fill up the tub very quickly.

The Moen Voss roman tub faucet trim kit is great. It looks and works wonderfully. The spout fit my old 2000 model plumbing but I had to order a kit so the handles would work. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was I thought they could have advised this in the instructions of product literature.
