Good system but cartridge difficult to replace

This system has been used for decades in my bathub. Recently, one handle started leaking. Not a big deal after so long. I opened it up to inspect the cartridge. Well... turned out that cartridge is impossible to remove with regular tools. It feels like it was press fitted inside the casing. So, After I made my mind to replace the entire system, I tryed one last carzy thing: put back the long screw in the cartridge and using a crank puller seated against the screw head to extract it. Success was acheive, to the great disappointment of my wife, who was looking for a new set at this point. But, to my great satisfaction because, who whants to deal with copper anymore? I was super happy to find the replacement cartridge at the Canadian Tire store. However, putting it back was another circus, as you need all of your weight to press it down, while praying for the lactch to line up good. The part is the following: 1248(TM)B : Two-Handle High Flow Roman Tub replacement cartridge. Enjoy!!
