Removing from another motor

Bought a boat earlier this fall with a Min Kota Power Drive V2 installed with what looks like the MKA-16-0? However I installed on my new Minn Kota Terrova 55 and can't get it to slide onto the existing base without the side covers removed and can't install the covers once it's on. I'm guessing it's slightly different from my older motor and the base will not work on the new one. There is no model on the quick release bracket I have and want to make sure the MKA-16-03 will work on my new Terrova trolling motor before purchase. Thanks

The MKA-16-03 is compatible with the Terrova 55 lb. thrust and would not have the side plate interference issues you're currently seeing.

Works Great, Need a Bracket Cover

When I remove the motor from the front of my pontoon, I would like to cover the bracket because the edges of the bracket are sharp. I bought one for a different Minn Kota quick release bracket, but it is a little too narrow. I haven’t been able to find one for the MKA 16-03 mount.
