Only Good for 2 Years

Just after using this dehumidifier for two years with no problems it started icing up and would no longer drain water. Continues to freeze up.

Failed just out of warranty

Bought this product in spring 2024. Worked fine through last summer and then we shut it down for the winter and it never came back to life. When we turned it on in spring 2025, the fan runs but it won't extract any water. Very disappointed that this failed after only one season of use (although we were outside the very minimal 1 year warranty). We will look for another brand on the next purchase.

Terrible product, dead after 2 years. Don't bother calling for help, they will troubleshoot by asking you basic questions that don't help. No recommendations for a repair shop close by either, do not waste your money!!

Q: Does the drain pipe allow the unit to be drained into a sewage or sump pump so we don't have to empty the bucket ?

A: This model does not have the pump, but it has draine mode so you don't need to empty the bucket. Another model with a bit extra does have pump. This dihumidifer works reall good. easily keep my 3000sq house at dry in the summer. It's easily to pair with wifi and get in online.

Q: For the 35 pint model as well as the 50 pint model of Midea Smart Dehumidifier. Is there an option/ability to run these as a ‘dumb’ appliance. I have no cell phone and do prefer a simple 3-switch design. On/Off, high/low speed, humIdity level.

A: I'm not sure ... that AD error code isn't listed in there operating manual. Try to unplug the unit, let it sit for 10 minutes and re-plug, it should reset.

Q: MC50MSWBA3RC Compact 50 Pint Cube New purchase : Manual states "When the compressor startups or stops running, the unit makes a loud voice, it is normal." Does the on/off cycle have constant loud sound/voice?

A: It is kind of loud when it is running. In the winter it's in our garage and runs 24/7 (heated garage). In the summer it's in the house and we use the app to run a schedule so it doesn't bother anyone.
