Q: Do the wax applicator bonnets fit over the polishing attachment? Because meguiar accesories are expensive and i want to avoid them.

A: Hello, At this time we do not carry compatible 4" bonnets that are compatible the the tool. The only tools we would recommend using with the DA Power System would be the complimentary pads by Meguiar's (039-9022, 039-9079, 039-9030).

Q: Can I use the yellow pad that comes with the package for wax instead of polish?

A: Yes, you can certainly use the yellow pad. The black finishing pad is softer and better in some situations, but the yellow pad would be okay to apply wax if necessary.

A: Extra pads are available in the DA Power Packs, Canadian Tire part numbers 39-9091-8 (Compounding), 39-9092-6 (Polishing), and 39-9093-4 (Waxing).

Q: What pad do you use for waxing? I only see kits with compound and polishing pads. Do you sell one for wax? Also can I buy the pads alone, without the liquids?

A: To wax your car using the Meguiar’s DA PowerSystem you should be using the black pad. The pad is sold as a part of kit (039-9093) and also comes with the small bottle of Meguiar’s Ultimate Liquid Wax. At this time, the pad is not available for purchase on its own.

Q: Can I use the cordless drills operate with less than 1000 rpm

A: Using a cordless drill with less than 1000 rpm, or any cordless drill for that matter, is not recommended with the DA Power System because as the drill loses power, your compounding/polishing/waxing efficacy is diminished. Having said that, there is no danger in using a cordless drill - it's just less work, and better results are achieved with the constant power of a corded drill.

Q: are the pads washable

A: Machine wash/dry -- Good for deep cleaning done at the end-of-day or between cars. No hot settings on either washer or dryer. Low or no heat on dryer. Pads must be washed separately (from anything else) in the washing machine. The use of laundry detergent is acceptable for HE or low foaming required. No fabric softener, bleach or other cleaning agents.

A: Canadian Tire does sell the Meguiar’s DA Paint Polishing PowerPack, 39-9092 (it comes with the polishing pad and a 4 oz. bottle of Meguiar’s Ultimate Liquid Polish.
