Better threader

I used it for a broken bolt in my suv ,turns out that two of the bolts for tires didnt have as much tread on them as should have so one night we were driving and something felt off next thing knew our front driver tire came off so my boyfriend use this tap and dye set to retread them was a bit hard at first but did get job done

Suitable but no case

I was having dificulty assembling a tier tray, becasue the the threads were stripped on the cheaply made posts. i was able to use the smallest die to repair and cleam the threads. It was useful. It would have been nice if it had a little case to hold the peices together in one place once it was opened.

Great product for restoring damaged or corroded threads without sacrificing base material loss.

I’ve been looking for something like this for quite a while. I’m thinking it’s a new product for CTC. In the past I’ve used my tap and die set to dress up degraded threads but I’ve found they often times take too much base metal off leaving the thread engagement slightly less. It covers the most popular sizes from M6 to M12. The thread chaser bar covers 8 different thread pitches. The male thread chasers will be great for cleaning up engine block threads especially on aluminum. I ended up buying both the metric and standard sets with the sale price and bonus points made it the best time to buy. And with the Maximum brand I’m assured quality pieces. My only con is I wish they came in a little metal container for easy storage. However I found an old socket set case that I can stow them in.
