Good light duty snow blower, good for walkway .

I would call it a light duty snow blower. I use it for my deck and wheelchair ramp. Good for light snow but stalls out in really heavy snow. I bought a second battery charger since the included charger only charges one battery. I got mine on Market place, just for my deck and wheelchair ramp. I have to continually used it during a snow becuase it stalling out in haevy snow. I have to let in thaw out in my house after I use it . I would like to purchase a larger machine eventually.

Hi there, LoriL! Thank you for your review on the Mastercraft 2x20V Single Stage Cordless Snowblower kit. Wet, heavy snow can overload any snow blower, so taking smaller passes and slowing your pace can help prevent clogs and shutdowns. Be sure to clear the chute regularly with a clean-out tool to keep airflow moving. We appreciate your comments and will pass them along to our team for further review. Thank you! Unless it’s warmer than -5C don’t bother

Works great when it works but if it’s even a little bit colder than -5C it stalls easily. I’ve tried all the fixes recommended in the reviews and I’m ready to throw this snow blower down the deepest darkest valley I can find and set it on fire.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Good enough for small driveway and medium snow

Purchased 2023. The first 2 uses were on light snow coverings (powdery) and the blower handled it well. Manual shute distance/height angle is annoying when wanting to change going back (1 angle) and forth (another angle), the rotation/direction control of shute was easy enough handling changing direction (1 direction back, the other direction forth). Writing this review after using it the third time on Jan12,2024 snow. I used the blower after about 13 cm accumulation and had some difficulty. The snow was starting to get packed, moist and becoming heavy. I managed to finish once around my small driveway: about 14' by 30' with downslope into garage, with 6' radius on the street. Battery ran out when doing second round on the driveway - glad I purchased a pair of 1.5Ah batteries that I can finish up. When battery is dying, the blower gets stuck. I had to guess the battery died. Jan12 snow is not done - I've put the first set of batteries (2x4Ah) to charge and we'll see how it handles further accumulation.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Cheap - broke after one winter

Worked fine while it lasted. Had to get an extra charger as the one it comes with charges only one out of the two batteries at a time really slow. Second winter it was basically garbage and hardly ever worked. Spend a bit more and get something of better quality.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Does this blower have a fuse in it? Mine stopped and does not turn over now, at all. It's dead after one season, used it less than 10 times.

  • A: Can you still get parts for a Mastercraft gas snowblower? I need how to replace the cable to the blades in front of the blower.

Q: I’ve had many struggles with this machine.  It stalls on a regular basis. Batteries fully charged and it stalls.  Now after two big storms when I need it most… it won’t even turn on with charged batteries.   What are  my options?

  • A: Same thing happened to me, worked great a few times, then completely died every time it would just start to touch snow. Would constantly have to reseat the fully charged batteries to even get it to turn on again. Returned it but only got a store credit. :(

Q: What is the temperature rating? Will the battery work in cold prairie winters?

  • A: The batteries need to be stored and charged at above freezing temps. The batteries worked for the 45 minutes I used the blower at -25C.

Q: Does the snow blower require both batteries provided to run? Or can it run on only one battery (while the other is charging)?

3 Answers
  • A: Avoid this product as much as possible. I ran it for less than 1 min, and it is the worst thing I have ever purchased. It just stalled in 3 inches of snow. Battery's lasted 3 min. It does not throw snow just mulches it. Took it back after 1 min.

Q: does it use the same batteries as the other mastercraft tool line

3 Answers
  • A: Kind of, it is the same connection as the 20v max tools, but this uses 5Ah batteries as I am sure the ones that come with the drills (2Ah) would drain instantly. So the batteries are inter changeable, but if you want additional batteries that would be capable of running this tool for any length of time I believe only the more expensive version of the mower comes with the same batteries.
