Barnd name equals less spatter

I've spoke to a trade welder and he told me to stick with brand name manufacturers for stick and flux core applications. His reasoning was that the flux was generally more consistent and cleaner from brand names. He said there was less spatter, less air pockets in the flux core. I've tried this Lincoln brand and I must say it does seem to be so, producing cleaner welds. I guess you pay for what you get.

A: This is wire feed arc weld wire it's not for soldering circuit boards, you need Flux core solder not arc weld wire.

A: The vendor advised that there are many factors that can affect the total length of welding wire, which is why we generally use lbs of material as a metric instead. The average length of wire on the 2lb Nr211 spool is likely between ~650 – 750 feet.
