Q: Have been using for 2 months. At random, does not seem to close properly and pods (disposable and reusable) "explode". The top pops open and cup is filled with coffee/tea grounds. Is this a defect or is there a quick fix?

  • A: Mine was doing the same thing, and it appeared the bottom of the pod wasn't getting punctured, so the water backed-up through the top hole. Now, before I close the lid, I manually push down on the pod to ensure it is seated in position & I hear it being punctured. No more problem getting grounds in my coffee. Possibly some pods have thicker plastic than others.

Q: I bought this model about a month and a half ago. Amd it needed a descaling. It just stopped working after I had descaled it. I jave tried everything to restart it, a d I just won't go

  • A: same problem here, after the first time I scaled it, it refused to work. Same thing happen on another model of Kurig. I only use Kurig cleaning solutions. Seems to be a big problem with Kurig out of the last 4 machines has had this problem. I called Kurig they say that had have had not complaints , ya right

Q: Can you use your own ground in a reusable pod or does it have to be an actual kcup?

  • A: If grinding your own beans, start with a coarser grind similar to a French press. Avoid a fine espresso grind as it may clog the screen. Never compress grounds or fill above the top fill line as this may hinder brewer performance.
