Acceptable for urgent situation.

Easy to use. Medium Kerosene consumption. Good design. The only disadvantage is it smells kerosene. Also I surprised Kerosene is very expensive in Canada. Anyhow it is necessary for urgent situations.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great for enclosed patio!

We were looking for a heater (propane) for our mostly enclosed patio and found this unit. It is amazing, nice and toasty, light comparable to a small campfire, quiet and no smell. Absolutely love it!

Yes, I recommend this product.

not bad

Got this unit in preparation for the next ice storm. Have used it a few times so far and it seems to work well. Seems well built to me, though the electric starter is hit-and-miss. Worked the first 2 times but not the third and seemed to take a long time to work when it did. Practically no odor during operation but quite a bit during shut off but it doesn't bother me at all. Takes 4-6 minutes to actually shut off once the wick is retracted, which is creating the odor. Burn time is listed as 15 hours per tank but I'm getting closer to 10-12 hours. Nice to know I've got a heating option for the next winter power-outage.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Life saving equipment A+

This heater, along with the bigger version saved me from going into a warming center this winter. I purchased this and the larger 25K BTU convection heater last summer knowing ahead of time climate change is for real. I begun to anticipate more severe storms. This unit will heat up a 500 sqf room easily. Do expect a slight smell, as even the cleanest kero will produce some scent. But it sure beats going to a WARMING CENTER. The equipment worked flawlessly, it's light, and all metal construction. The other reviewer was saying the knob was too sensitive, I find that odd, because it was not for me. I guess that person did not read the instructions and kept it in a stable place on the floor. I like this unit so much, I plan to buy one more for the basement, just in case you know. If you're looking for wicks, search for milestair wicks. Great service.

Yes, I recommend this product.

  • A: Sur le site du fabricant Kero-World, il est clairement indiqué que cette chaufferette au kérosène est destinée à l'intérieur, contrairement à la plupart des radiateurs au propane qui ne le sont pas. www.worldmkting.com/kero-world

Q: how many hours does a wick last?

1 Answer
  • A: The item will burn 15 hours on only 1.2 gallons of fuel however wick maintenance is very important. Wick maintenance is necessary to prevent soot production, low heat output and performance issues. Carbon and tar will build up on the top of the wick during regular use of this product. Wick maintenance is required within the first seven (7) days of your first use of the heater and every 2 tankfuls of fuel and/or every week during the heating season. If the wick feels hard and brittle, this indicates that wick maintenance is necessary in order to keep your heater performing accordingly. Check Your Wick Often! If the wick is hard to light. If the wick is hard to raise or difficult to adjust by turning the wick adjustment knob. If the wick fails to drop completely when you press the shut-off knob. If the top of the wick is stiff and hard. Note: Poor fuel or fuel contaminated with water will also turn the wick hard. Please call the manufacturer at 1-800-233-3202 for additional questions.
