Great tire for most terrain

Great tire and perfect traction for the hills. Only downfall is that mine wore out pretty quick but could be due too riding the road frequently. Overall satisfied!!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Fat bike tire

This is the second fat bike tire for the 2021 season. The bike is ridden 40 kilometers most days. Not sure how many kilometers it’s rated for and may not be rated for pavement, only off road. Would like to find a tire I can get a whole season out of. Many factors can make it wear but it’s reasonable priced and easily available.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Bent tires

Unfortunately these tires are very thick and were delivered bent and after spending a lot of time and money with the mechanic we have not been able to put them straight and balanced.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Bicycle fat tire

Solid feel to this tire, descent price as well. Glad I purchased it when I did, had a blow out a week later. Having a spare is very handy.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good Bones! Great Value!

Good bones, worth upgrading! Aluminum frame is great, will fit up to 4.5" tires. Fork isn't bad, steel, kinda heavy, but it'll do. 8 speed 11-32 cassette is too small, an 11-42 would be better. Competitor has Deore 10 speed. Good economy wheelset, stupid heavy tires. Grab a pair of Kendas and a set of tubes off the rack to buy when you buy this bike. You'll save 5 pounds right there! Bars are narrow and heavy, but I can live with that. For me, the stem was too short, but I had a 100mm stem in the parts box, so that worked out. I'm 6' and wear a 32 inseam, and had to buy a longer seatpost. $18 at my local bike shop. Pedals are marginal, I'll ride 'em till I break 'em, then get a set of $20 RockBros pedals. Overall a good value, ride it as-is and upgrade as stuff breaks. Only immediate need is tires, and probably find a wider ratio cassette. I'm lo ing this bike, so much fun on the trails, snow packed or dry!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: My bike came with Kenda Gigas tire.  I want to get tire with more grip than Kenda Gigas on snow. Does this one provide that .

1 Answer
  • A: Hello and thank you for the inquiry, the K1188 has a deeper tread profile than the Gigas and should provide more grip than the Gigas. Other factors like tire pressure and temperature can impact grip just for reference.
