I put the speakers in the back of my ‘99 Ford Explorer the sound is amazing and gives a good bang my only problem would be that the box only comes in this one small size that would be good in a little car

Customer Service
Hi there, our JBL Stage 1220B doesn't have a built-in amp and has only speaker terminals as their connection. You only need to connect your subwoofer out to these using speaker wire, for more power, it's also possible to use an external amplifier. If you need more help, please contact us using the link. https://support.jbl.com/us/en/customer-service/contact.html

I got these and theyre amazing, but they fit perfect in the far back space of my 89 Toyota Celica GTS, with plenty of room, it fits so good it almost looks custom. Plus they sound great!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: what specific amp would you recommend for this sub?

  • A: You can pair these subwoofers with the JBL Stadium 600 that has a Power Output, 600Wrms at 2Ω. Just be mindful of how to correctly set the input gain and avoid cranking it to the maximum as the subwoofers can only handle a 500W of continuous power.

Q: Will this fit my 2009 GMC Sierra 1500? And if so what kind of amp should I get.

  • A: The JBL Stage 1220B Enclosure's dimensions are measured at 30-1/8"W x 15"H x 13-11/16"D1 x 10-1/2"D2, please check if you have enough space for that size. As for the amplifier, you'll need to get an amplifier that can send 500W RMS at 2 ohms.

Q: I bought these with the impression that they were a 1000 watts per sub. It clearly says 1000 watts on each sub, yet the specs states that they can only handle 1000 watts total. How or why is that? Meanwhile the sub alone says 250 rms to 1000 watts max.
