Q: I use a JBL A9004 amplifier, 2 ports are bridged for the JBL CSX1400 subwoofer. On the other 2 ports I want to instal in serie the JBL GX642 and the JBL Stadium GTO M20 in serie. The speakers are 2,3 and 2,5 ohm, is this possible in serie together?

Q: I plan on running these active, but I noticed these are rated at 2.5 ohms but my amp is rated for 100w RMS per channel at 4 Ohms only. Will I need an amp that is 2 ohm stable or can I run these on my existing amp?

Q: Can I use this with the JBL GTO609C system?

  • A: Thanks for your question. Our JBL Stadium GTO 20M is meant for use with Stadium GTO component two-way systems only because these feature the gap-switch on the crossover network which our Stadium GTO crossovers have. Our JBL GTO 609C is an older model and can't be upgraded to a three-way system. If you have more questions, please contact us so we can help you.

Q: "Basically, you will be connecting the GTO20M to the crossover and from the crossover, it will get connected to the amplifier." My question is when i cut the adopter off the wire so I can connect to my amp which side is positive?

  • A: I'd say the left side.. but it would depend on where your looking from. There are labels on the speaker terminals to tell you if it's positive or negative, same with the crossover. It's best to check those just to be sure.

Q: Can i add this speaker to an existing speaker system, where all the other speakers are 4 ohm? i would like to run this speaker with a 4 ohm tweeter using a passive crossover.

Q: can you use the GTO 20M without the crossover....  my amp doesn't appear to have an output to fit the plug

  • A: Hi! We highly recommend using the crossover if you will be using the GTO 20M. Basically, you will be connecting the GTO20M to the crossover and from the crossover, it will get connected to the amplifier.

Q: 1. Do these midranges play any vocals? 2. If I hook these up in parallel to the 690C components, will the impedance be lowered to 1.25 ohm?
