First Impressions

One month into using this product. So far so good. Reasonably priced. Quiet, easy to fill and easy to clean. My only concern is that it does not throw enough moisture into the air to adequately humidify an average size room. The reservoir runs dry after about 12 hours when the humidifier is run at maximum.

Works but not for sleeping

I like that it has a physical dial instead of buttons. It's got a big fill port, and it works well.
Unfortunately the green LED on the dial is REALLY BRIGHT and compared to other humidifiers I've had, it's quite loud. I like some white noise when I'm sleeping but this one sounds like a commercial aquarium pump.

My First Humidifier!

I’ve been thrilled with it - easy to fill and operate, and as my first humidifier I was so pleased at how long it can operate on one filling (a day and an overnight!)!
My one regret, my own fault, is that I think this version does not have an auto shut-off, so I have to rely on my memory, which at 77 is always more of a concern. I want to buy a second one and will buy the next Honeywell version with the auto-shut-off. This was a test to see if I likes having a humidifier, and YES, I do - I sleep well and I do believe it can help prevent flu!

A: Tank comes off and turns upside down to fill. It does drip a bit when doing so, but otherwise it is a wonderful unit. Very quiet with a fine mist. It also has directional spouts on the top. We like ours a lot.

Q: I’ve had two Honeywell cool mist humidifiers that have presented the same problem. There is always water in the base where the humidifier sits atop it. Can’t find any source of why both humidifier tanks would leak? Any help would be appreciated

A: Thank you for your inquiry. It is normal to see water in the base of the unit. The water tank will release water into the base, where the nebulizer vibrates at ultrasonic speeds to create mist. Q: Does the Protec demineralization cartridge PDC51CTP (#1430006) need to be eventually replaced or can it be cleaned..and what is the replacement cost of this cartridge?
