Q: The essential oil tray has a thin, white, rectangular object in it, possibly foam, possibly to protect the unit in transit. The instructions regarding the essential oil tray do not mention it nor its purpose. Is that object to be removed before use?

A: Thank you for your responses. After some trial and error experimenting I have discovered that you MUST leave that foam/felt rectangle in the tray if you wish to use essential oils. If you remove that foam/felt rectangle and put the oils directly onto the plastic tray, it will damage the humidifier. The oils will gum up the compartment. Fortunately I was able to clean the unit with strong cleaning products. Hopefully this information is helpful to anyone else out there wondering how to use the essential oils tray. I just wish the instructions were a little more clear about that beforehand.

A: Il y a une petite trappe au devant. La tirer et y mettre l'huile. Par contre, ça ne fonctionne pas vraiment. Mauvais achat pour moi. Il est à la poubelle depuis un certain temps déjà.

If your unit does not have the essential oil drawer, you cannot use essential oils with this humidifier. Q: what is a nebulizer and how is it cleaned? frequency? anything else on it that needs cleaning at the same time??

A: Thank you for your inquiry. The nebulizer is the small disk in the base of the humidifier. It is cleaned the same way the rest of the unit is as per the instructions in the manual. We advise doing both the descaling and disinfecting cleanings weekly. Q: Hello, can this be used in a cubicle at work? The air is horribly dry and very bothersome. Is it too powerful for a desk/cubicle space? Also debating the mini one but the reviews aren't great.
