doesn't work as intended

bought this to keep unheated storage space at just above freezing. nowhere online does it specify that it cannot be set below 16C and that each time you turn it off it defaults to F settings. So, it doesn't work as a 'set it and forget it". also found that even on 'high' setting it took a while to heat 100 sq ft space, im assuming on 'low' or 'personal space' setting it even makes less of a difference, so for 1500 W appliance that's strange. And lastly, only when you unpack it, it says it should be 3 ft from any wall min.- yet it says it can be used under the desk as a personal heater. Well, most desks are against the wall and in a corner. Anyway, if the manufacturer would've specified all this in the listing, returns would not be needed. Now its a useless item i have to drive 1 hr to a store to return. The search for the right heater continues...

A: most small portable heaters are rated at 1000 watts as well as 1500 watts. Referred to as 2 heat settings (high & low). The lowest wattage for this product is 1000 watts. Watts are the amount (flow) of electricity required to operate such a product as this heater.

Q: Does this heater automatically shut off after 2 hours or is the ‘Heat Save’ timer an option. We need the heater to come on and off (according to the set thermostat temperature)over a 24 hour period

A: Hello, I use this heater for a 32 foot trailer and it works fantastic! There are 6 heat settings: Floor 300w, Room 1500w on hi, Room 750w on low, Personal 1075w on hi, Personal 450w on low gives complete control over home heating options

Q: Is the minimum time for the automatic shut off 2 hours? I would like to be able to set the auto shut-off to 30 minutes. Is that possible?

A: Just hit the heatphase button again. Each time you hit it it takes off a half hour of run time. I always start at 3 bars because 1500 Watts is costly...

A: It would depend on how much you pay for electricity and what setting you have it at. There are 6 different settings and you can also adjust the thermostat too, so this is a pretty loaded question. The maximum wattage is 1500w. I tested it and when I first turned it on, it spiked to 1535w before settling around 1440w at a temp of 22C, and this is at the most "power hungry" setting of Room High. The lowest wattage/setting is the Quiet mode which turns off the fan and operates around 365w. I will detail all my findings in my review.

Q: in a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate the noise level?

A: I would rate it around the same noise as a microwave oven when it's set to the highest setting. So if you were right next to the microwave oven then yah, it would seem loud. But on the floor, 10 feet away from where you are, it's just background noise. I use the timer function in my bedroom and it gradually steps down every 30 mins. The sound does not prevent me from falling asleep. I use it in my basement office and it's about 6-8 feet away from me and it doesn't interfere with phone calls or conversations, etc. If you put it on the Quiet setting, you don't even know it's on, so you have that option as well.
