Blows great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love it. I have this set up in my entryway right at the moment, which is not closed in at all. But I have to say this is great. I pointed towards my living room and has helped keep my living room and entryway cool. Which is more than 300 square feet. It has a lot of different settings in which I am still trying out. It also comes with a remote. The only thing I don't like is the way the vent is on the top. My cats think it is a place to sit so the lid thingy does get pushed down and doesn't reopen by itself. And if you don't notice it when it is on cool, it will collect condensation on the top around the vent. Also it would be great if it had a lock feature for the settings.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Lifesaver when our A/C went out over long weekend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our AC froze up before the holiday weekend and we were unable to get anyone out for 5 days. This portable AC was a lifesaver! The unit was being used to cool down a room above our garage a little over 300 sf with tall ceilings. At installation, the room was 82 and the unit brought the room down to 77 in around 30 minutes. We set the temperature lower to 72 and went to bed. By morning, the room was registering at 72 and had no difficulty maintaining the temperature over the next few days when outdoor temps were in the 90s. The very far end of the room was consistently around 2 degrees warmer (via temperature gun) but we expected this, as we had a slightly larger room than the unit was sized for, plus the room was oddly shaped on the far side with no fan to circulate. If you have a room appropriately sized for the unit, I am confident the entire room will cool consistently. Set-up was easy and everything was included to hook it up to various sized windows for the exhaust. There are two temperature sensors, one at the top and one in the front (the white circle). The front numbers are large and can easily be seen across the room, whereas the smaller top numbers can be seen while at the unit. A remote is also included. The only downside to this unit is that we were unable to keep the AC unit flush against the wall, as I did not anticipate the bend for vinyl tubing exhaust, so make sure you have an additional foot of space from the wall.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great cooling and and quiet too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We started using the portable Hisense air conditioner a couple weeks ago. It's fairly simple to set up and easy to operate with or without the remote control. It cools much quieter than the previous portable air conditioner we used in the past. I think it's probably more energy efficient than our previous air conditioner too. We use it in the baby nursery and it's quietness is a plus as it gradually brings down the temperature and makes the room comfortable. We like it and recommend it too.

Yes, I recommend this product.

  • A: Toutes nos unités s'évaporent automatiquement dans des conditions d'utilisation normales et s'évaporent dans l'air. Il y a aussi un trou de vidange si une utilisation excessive entraîne la vidange.

Q: how is the condensate water removed? Does this device have to be drained. And does it have to be vented to the outside?

  • A: You DO have to vent it outside (through a window) but eveerything necessary is provided. There is a drain provided but it's been VERY humid here this summer and i have never had to drain the unit. i highly recomment this unit to anyone needing to cool a small space.

  • A: I'm not too sure about that, but it does restart when the power goes out and resumes. It's never stopped for me when it reaches temperature, so I can't say for sure, since I have the temperature set fairly low. (68 degrees F)

  • A: Yes, you have to vent it through a window (or a sliding door if you prefer). All of the pieces are provided and the instructions are very clear. We did this in about 15 minutes.

Q: Do you need to empty the water out of this unit.

1 Answer
  • A: All Hisense air units are designed to be 'water-less' under normal usage conditions, meaning the water would be evaporated from the exhaust hose. If you are running the unit under extreme conditions around the clock, the unit may require some emptying through the drain hole on the back/underside.
