weird experience so far

I have no issues with the cooling function. it's very quiet and does a good job cooling a 350-400 sq ft room. However, the heating function is leaving me puzzled. Now that the weather is cool in the mornings and nights, I was anxious to use the heating function. I don't find that it heats very well. It's much noisier in heat mode than cool mode. If you leave it on for an extended period, it just keeps cycling on and off on it's own. I have no prior experience with heat pumps so I don't know whether this is normal or not. With the unit behind me, the air blowing out feels luke warm, even semi cool if that makes sense, not hot. If you stand in front of it, it feels warmer. Weird. I am not liking how this function performs. Why is the air not hotter ?, why does it cycle on and off on its own? it feels like there is something wrong with the unit and it's brand new.
No, I do not recommend this product.
