Do not waste your time with these wall anchors

Tried 3 all failed to open properly to anchor shelf. Screw turned and turned never tightening. When I looked to see what the problem was, you could see one anchor had dislodged so the screw would not thread. The other two would not tighten and the part that sits in the sheet rock just stripped and turned. Finally gave up and bought different design Everbilt Closet Organization Drywall Anchors Steel Chrome Support Clips and Braces which worked great.

Junk dont use. Instructions are terrible. Useless product. They fall apart fall into the wall. Ruin your walls. Junk

These are poorly designed. 1 of 4 of the anchors fails, mostly as a result of poor quality control. At least half of the provided screws cannot screw all the way into the anchor because of (again) poor QC of the finished anchor (screw holes imperfect so it cannot thread).

Junk - buy toggle bolts instead

These are junk. Several in the box were already broken. Two worked fine. Another two broke in the wall and had to be replaced with toggle bolts. Will attempt to return the pacakge. Get toggle bolts instead.

Q: Would you suggest using this anchor to support an IKEA corner cabinet to the wall?

A: I had used it to wall mount a 40 inch TV and it was very sturdy. I guess it would work for an IKEA shelf. Depends on the weight you will be putting on the shelf.

Q: Can this be used on metal studs? I am planning to secure my IKEA billy bookcase to the metal stud. Is this the right choice or is there any other suggestion that will help my cause?

A: I'm planning on using this to mount speakers on steel studs. Otherwise, if you need stronger, the snaptoggle or strap-toggle bolts worked very well for a TV wall mount.
