polywood table

Purchased this table 2 years ago and thought it was great. It is kept under a metal gazebo all summer long out of natures elements. In the winter it is kept indoors in the Florida room Every screw under the table top has rusted out and the table top slats are letting go and popping up where as it cant be used. Tried to replace the screws but there are hundreds underneath. Had many tables in my life and this one is just trash after a couple years.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great table!

I didn't want a glass table so I searched a long time before I found a design that I liked. This table is heavy and has stood up to two major storms already. It was easy to put together, looks beautiful and clearly durability isn't going to be an issue. The only thing I would change is that there should be a cover/plug for the umbrella hole. I don't plan on using this with an umbrella but there is no way to fill the hole. For now, I've put a potted plant in the middle of the table instead.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Not the Best Quality

As with other people on this review forum, our glass table was smashed to pieces in the storm last week. We are having company from out of town so had to replace quickly. The table on display at Canadian Tire looked great so we purchased one. However, once we got ours home, there were significant dents and scratches in two of the corners. Since it was so heavy to move onto the back deck, we will keep it -- but not impressed. Looks nice though.

Disappointed in this product

I bought this table last summer for the cottage. I love the look and it was very easy to put together. Sadly the tabletop is not holding up to regular wear and tear. There was a scorch mark almost right away from a plastic plate of hamburgers. And now there is a spray stain from sunblock. Despite its good lucks it is not holding up to the basic wear and tear you would expect from an outdoor table. I am going to have to replace it because it looks awful.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Can the table be left outside in the winter?

2 Answers
  • A: I wouldn't leave it outside in winter as the table top weight restriction is 20 kg. We would receive more than that amount of snow in a winter perhaps breaking table top.

Q: Can you please tell me where I might find the product manual online? I need to tighten the legs on this table, but I do not have the manual on hand.

2 Answers
  • A: If the legs were installed as per the original instructions, there should be little caps covering the screw heads under the table, at the top of the legs (a total of 4 per leg). All you need to do is pop off these covers (caps) off the head of the screw using a small flat-head screw driver and user an appropriately sized Allen key to tighten the screws. Once they are tight, simply snap on the caps back onto the screw heads.

Q: Every year a few screw under the table top rust out and the table top slats let go and pop up. When I replace them they do not hold well. How can I fix them so they stay securely? What glue for metal & polywood? What kind & size screws?

1 Answer
  • A: We are sorry to hear the inconvenient caused. To securely fix the table top slat with metal, you need to drill new screw hole 1cm away from the original one respectively (once the original screws are drove out, the original hole won't hold any screw well) and use the specifically designed screws to fix polywood through newly drilled hole. Please contact customerservice@aolifa-furniture.com for more details of spare screws.
