They Came Up with the Name First

Someone at Hamilton Beach must've come up with the name "The Scoop" in a dream thinking they had a winner, when in reality, it's basically a nightmare. ONLY fill it with enough water for the cup you have. If your cup overflows, the handy drip tray isn't removable: you gotta carry the whole unit to the sink. I also prefilled the unit with water and plugged it in, only to have the machine start trying to brew without having to press the big Brew button on top, a joy I was anticipating only to have it ripped from my hands. It's at least compact and supports travel and standard mugs and has removable reusable filters, one for the titular Scoop and the other for catching grounds. While it is definitely a single-serve maker as advertised, the unit itself is absolutely NOT a serve. It's a compact yet poor design with more emphasis on the name than product. PS: Canadian Tire - Please turn off whatever auto-update feature is built-in to your AI-Generated Review field. It keeps overwriting my text as I'm trying to type my review. I mean, if your objective is to prevent people from leaving angry reviews on products: Mission Accomplished, I almost gave up.

Excellent single cup coffee maker that doesn't require adapting a k-cup unit to handle lose ground coffee, yet allows to brew sufficient coffee for larger 12 and 14 oz. cups. Love it.

Love the coffee maker but I find it aggravating that there are NO REPLACEMENT PARTS for this model. Why do you not at least have replacement baskets if you're still selling it?
