60V Greenworks Snow Blower

I have only used it once so far but, it seems like a good unit. The Drive and Auger functions are giving me fits because of the safety feature. I keep shutting it off. I will figure it out. I lowered the skid shoes all the way so I am not picking up rocks.

Throws snow well batteries suck!

I was super excited when I got this snowblower. We got our first heavy snowfall of about 6 to 8 inches last night. All batteries were charged to the full and I started it up and it worked brilliantly when the batteries were charged to throw snow off my driveway. My driveway is three cars wide, but only too deep. So only a six car driveway. It did OK at clearing out the driveway but died as soon as I was on the sidewalks in front of my house. The batteries lasted for 22 minutes. Not sure what I did wrong as I wasn’t even on Turbo setting. I was on the second lowest setting. Any advice on how to let the batteries last longer?

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hello Frazman47. Thank you for sharing your experience and feedback! We are glad to hear your snowblower performed well on your driveway. Regarding battery life, factors like snow depth, snow density (wet vs. fluffy), and terrain can all affect run time, even on lower settings.
Here are a few tips to help maximize battery performance:
Use Eco or lower-speed settings for lighter snow or shorter areas.
Clear snow in shorter passes rather than trying to do long stretches in one go.
Keep batteries warm before use, as cold temperatures can reduce running time.
Consider an extra set of batteries if you have a large driveway or sidewalks.
Following these steps can help extend running time and make snow removal easier. If you ever have specific questions or concerns about our products, contact Greenworks via Live chat on our website (www.greenworkstools.com), call us at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS) or refer to the FAQ ask section of the tool or ask us a question, anytime. Good except can’t find spare parts

Have had this unit for 2 winters in Yukon. Generally a good unit and impressed how long the batteries last if running on eco (rarely need more juice than that to move our snow). We have a large driveways (60 m x 10 - 20m). Depending on snowfall depth we can get that done with one charge. Takes a 2nd charge for heavy snowfalls and to get our walks. I bought an extra set of batteries so we don’t have to wait for recharge to get job done. Recharge takes ~1hr so ~2 hrs to get all 3 batteries fully rechargrd. One annoying thing is that I can’t source a spare blower chute angle cable… not stocked at our local CT and Greenworks site doesn’t have it either. Casing on our cracked in first season (design flaw IMHO as it happened right at a mounting point, should have warrantied it but, oh well) so moisture gets in and freezes/locks cable so I can’t adjust chute angle. I would like to replace it… but where do I buy this part from???

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Can this snowblower be stored outdoors with a tarp, or is it better to store in a heated space. If wanting back-up batteries, do you need 3, for a total of 6, and how many batteries can be charged at a time with the included charger?

  • A: We bought this snowblower a year ago. I stored it outside with the cover in the summer but inside in the winter. I don't see why it couldn't be stored outside in winter if necessary. We had two batteries from other tools so we have a total of five. They need to be charged and kept inside during winter. We have a larger than average driveway and I only had to change the batteries once last year before I was finished. Normally, three are sufficient. And it runs fine on less than three fully charged batteries, but won't last as long.
