I paid for the Genie and after I paid the cashier told me that they didn't have on stock and the product was discontinued. So I asked to remove the card from the sheves

Has private mode, usb type c charger hook up , very good connection with type c usb , older model had a ear phone plug in type for power ,cord guit working , bought new one better design very happy with mt purchass.

Garbage, Always disconnecting.

I have owned this since April 2023. It is the most frustrating piece of garbage to own. It spends its life constantly disconnecting with a "Device Offline" statement. I have wasted countless hours trying to keep it connected. This despite the Geeni Outdoor CW031 battery never disconnecting and on the same network. The CW031 is great. This Sentinel is garbage.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Now full of ads; newer cameras are hinky.

I bought one of these a few years ago and it's been pretty good. Then I got a newer one and it has much slower panning plus random failures or stops listening to commands. Last nail in the coffin was this year the app became insufferably full of ads that it both sent to my email and also popped up on the phone screen, blocking the view of security images / video. I'm getting rid of both, as this is unacceptable.

No, I do not recommend this product.

To resolve this, please remove your camera from the Geeni app and use a injector pin and poke the reset button located under the camera when you tilt it up, holding it until you hear a chime. After that, you can add it back to the Geeni app. Make sure you’re connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, as Geeni cannot connect to 5GHz networks. Q: How far from the router can you mount the camera?

Q: Will it work with a dual band wi-fi network? I have a 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz network.

    A: Hi Nick, all Geeni devices are designed to work only for 2.4 GHz networks for wider connectivity. While 5 GHz band provides less coverage because it cannot penetrate solid objects, such as walls and floors. Since your router is on dual-band (a combination of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), they need to be separated so you can access the 2.4 GHz connection only. You can request from your Internet Service Provider to separate the 2.4 GHz to 5.GHz for them to have different SSID. You can use the camera that you have outside of your home but it's actually designed for indoor use so we don't recommend it for outdoor use due to extreme weather condition limitations. We want to set your expectation that might not fully function during extreme weather. We do have outdoor camera and it's called Hawk 1 and Hawk 2 and you may want to check in Walmart and Amazon.
