I bought this plug to remotely control my vehicle’s block heaters. With the Geeni app, the control works as expected. Great for those very cold mornings. The added bonus is our google assistant uses my voice to provide the on/off controls. Great value!

Q: Will this work on 5.0Ghz wifi?

A: I believe the Geeni website site says they are only compatible on 2.4 GHz wifi. Not sure if you can throttle down a 5.0 GHz to 2.4 GHz service to use Geeni products, so that maybe a question for your wifi provider or Geeni customer service.

Q: Does this work remotely, e.g. if I am away can I log in over the internet to turn on or off? Also, can multiple units be controlled by the same app? I run Christmas and Halloween decorations on 3 circuits and would like to be able to control them all.

Q: Is there a sunset and sunrise setting in the Geeni app? Is it possible to setup one of the outlets to come on 30 minutes past sunset and then turn off at a fixed time like 1:00am?
