Unstable Software Ruins the Experience

I have to re-pair my watch 1-2 times a day as it becomes disconnected. This is new to their recent upgrade of the phone app and I hope temporary, but the experience is far from optimal.

From a dream to a nightmare

I bought this for a couple of years ago, and everything was working fine. But now, for the past couple of months it has been a nightmare. The watch has lost its connection to the phone several times a day. I have to re-instal it every time. Nothing works, from the noticications to the data transfer.

The heart rate sensor stopped working.

No light is being emitted from the heart rate sensor. Tries software update, verifying settings and multiple hard resets with no luck in fixing the heart rate sensor. No longer pleased with the product.

Heart rate sensor failed.

I’ve had the Fenix 6X Sapphire since 2022. I set it aside for the past year while I tried the Apple Ultra 2. This past week I went back to using the Garmin. Today the heart rate sensor stopped working. It still tells time but I can’t call it a sports watch without the heart rate function.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the heart rate sensor on your fenix 6X! It's possible that the optical heart rate sensor has been disabled on your watch. You can check this by going to the heart rate widget and holding MENU > Select Heart Rate Options > Status.
