The long, slender rice paper shade has a contrasting white colour that allows it to stand out, while also diffusing the light within to create a softer glow. This rice paper lamp has a small enough footprint to allow it to work in even more modest locations, so it's great for use next to your living room chair while you're reading or writing, or it can be placed as extra lighting in the bedroom, hallway, or dining room. The lamp must be used with one medium base bulb of no more than 60 watts (sold separately). Pairing this floor lamp with an LED bulb will help you save on energy costs, since they are more efficient than comparable incandescent bulbs. An easy-to-use pull cord turns the floor lamp on and off whenever needed.

The rod comes up screwed, even though i hadn't touched it. I tighten it up n the joints wable again n I have to keep tightening it.

Q: The instructions indicate use with an incandescent lightbulb but can I use an LED bulb instead?

A: Yes! Probably best to use an LED because of the paper-like shade. You can use an LED equivalent bulb, around 15 watts. Make sure to use a 2700k or 3000k for a warm cozy feel.
