A: It really depends on the temp on medium to high so far I have used it on this new tank about 8 hours. Still have at least half a tank left

A: Hi Bella. Because we already had a spare 20lb tank, that's what we have always used. The hose supplied, has the connection for the 20lb, which should be the same fitting used on both smaller & larger tanks. Except for the really small (I think they're 1lb bottles) ones, used on propane lamps, portable barbecues, camp stoves etc. Hope that helps.
