Same experience as a lot of other folks. Rusted almost immediately. Within the first season the cover was garbage and after two years the bottom had fallen out. Very disappointing for such an expensive item. Most definitely not worth the money.

Lasted one season

Bought in the spring and used probably 15 times over the summer. The screen lid has now a hole in it and the circle “handle” is rusted out. The top did not last the season. There are parts of the pit that are also rusted out. Garbage after one season. What a waste of money as I now need to go buy another firepit for next year.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: You may be able to purchase a cover separately but I have had no issues with rain water. I really love this pit. I have elevated it with some cinder blocks and it's perfect for our yard.

Q: Wood burning devices can also be CSA approved, that’s why people keep asking about this so I guess the correct answer is NOT CSA Approved but it’s not simply because it’s a wood burning device but because it’s not going through that certification process
