Q: Is there something that I need to do to make these sound activated? Ours only go off if we push the button.

A: Underneath the skirt there's a plastic box. On the back of this box near the top is a very small switch with "OFF" and "ON" indications. Push the switch to the ON position. The action and sound will start. Once it stops it enters Sound Activation mode. This box is also where the battery compartment is located if you need to change it.

Q: The picture clearly shows this used in an outdoor display; however, it is listed as indoor use only? Is this correct?

A: I use it outside no problem. Wouldn’t leave it out in temps below zero for too long, but I do use it outside.
