Excellent Stool

This product is packaged exceptionally well and legs are wrapped individually preventing any scratches or chips. I bought 2 and both were assembled well within 1 hour and I had absolutely no problem interpreting the instructions. The instructions mention that 2 people are required to put it together, but it's pretty easy for one. All parts fit exactly as they should.

tough to assemble

Instruction manual is pathetically inadequate, I recommend that you do not tighten any screws until the whole thing is assembled. After finally getting everything in the right places, the stool wobbles since one leg is slightly too short. This could be solved by wadding some paper and taping it underneath the short leg. It is possible but exhausting to assemble without power tools. Seat is very cushy and comfortable. You will also need your own Philips head screwdriver.

NOT QUITE HIGH ENOUGH...

Nice looking stool, but BEWARE the height is NOT what it says it is! Although the product is technically 30" high, as advertised, there is about 1.5 - 2 inches of foam on the top that squishes down when you sit on it. All members of my family (kids and adults) rated it "too short" for our bar counter. If you have a shorter bar counter, or very tall people in the house, these may work, but you may want to try building only one and testing it out before investing in the whole lot.
