Works well, but I don't expect a long life.

It works well. I replaced an older one that was better, though. It had a metal clip; this one is plastic. This has the same copper-on-aluminum bulb contacts as the old, failed one, which is a shame — corrosion will eventually make it intermittent.

Lamp goes to sea!

Canadian Tire rocks. Excellent software makes it a breeze to locate a suitable product and then not only if a given store has it on the shelf, exactly what shelf! This dandy lamp was EXACTLY what we needed on our small sailboat. Small, very attractive, unobtrusive, flexible, big sturdy clamp. Bright cheery light.
Sailing now, at each marina where we plug in to shore power, it has already proven to be absolutely perfect. And what a price. Thank you.

Ligh socket perfect right out of the bax.

I bought this and it was perfect. It will be used with Bluetooth LED bulbs and there is no overheating issues. The base (non -plastic) part of the bulb gets hot but not like an incandescent does. I have it clamped to the column of a floor light because in needed a third light bulb socket.
Yes, I recommend this product.

This lamp falls forward when clipped onto a bed headboard. It will not stay in the desired position. Product returned.
