Q: For placement underneath the sink, does it absorb water and does it leave footprints?

  • A: Water will sit on top of the mat. You’ll have to wipe up.  You will leave footprints if your feet are wet.

  • A: It is just under 2 inches thick.We have 3 of them in our kitchen,1 at our sink, 1 at our stove and 1 at our island and we love them. I have a bad back and these are great when you are standing in the kitchen for any length of time.I hope this helps.
