A great shower curtain rod

So far, so good. I bought this to replace an old shower curtain rod. This one was easily installed and adjusted to set up the tension to hold it in place, no tools needed. It seems sturdier than the previous rod and the metal finish on it is much nicer.

Would not stay up. I tried to return it but they would not give me a refund because the ends had small dents. I told them that the rod would not stay up so that happened when it fell. I left the rod there because it was no good to me since it would not stay up .

A: Réponse 4 ans plus tard mais bon.. Chez moi on accroche 2 grandes serviettes humide et une plus petite et elle n'a pas bougé d'un centimètre depuis que je l'ai installé voila au moin 2 ans.

Q: Does this rod use a spring mechanism to maintain tension? (I.e., where you're supposed to over-extend the rod by an inch and then retract the end so that it fits tightly against the wall.)

A: This product is steel constructed with a rust resistant finish; however is not fully rust proof. The rusting process can be accelerated depending upon the environment (electrolytes, salinity, poor air circulation, etc.).

Q: What is the maximum weight. I am looking at using this to hang pots from between 2 banks of overhead kitchen cabinets.

A: The tension rods are designed to hold only shower curtains and/or liners. They are not meant to hold other items such as pots or pans. If you decide to go ahead with using the rods to hold pots/pans you are doing so at your own discretion. The vendor or Canadian Tire cannot be held responsible for any damages as a result of using a shower tension rod.
