Q: Can you grab a raspberry bush stem and pull it out without getting poked by the thorns? Are the palms thick enough to protect against thorns while grabbing a thorny stem?

A: We would not advise grabbing stems with thorns with these gloves. They have a non-slip grip to provide secure hold when holding onto gardening tools, including saws and axes. The reinforced palms help protect hands from blisters.
