    Bad Pellets

Absolute garbage, full of dust, cleaning my stove after every bag and they don't slide in the feeder. Do not buy these pellets. Canadian Tire should be testing the products they sell.

    Don’t buy this product

We have been buying the Elite pellets and been happy with them. Then CT switched to BioPower and said they are the “same product”. Not even close!! A full pallet of agony! The pellets don’t look the same, a lot of sawdust in the bags, definitely don’t burn the same. We have to clean our stove DAILY. We thought there was a problem with our stove. Not so. Finally came to the end of our supply and burning other pellets, and it’s back to normal. This product has been nothing but frustrating and a mess.

    Bio pellets

If they had a rating for 0 stars I would give them that. These pellets are garbage, seems like they are made out of paper not wood, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! You will be cleaning your stove every 2 days

    Avoid bio power

Thought it was a problem with my stove. It is these bio power hardwood pellets. So much ash that the stove stopped . They are not fit for purpose. Canadian tire need to go back to the canwick pellets that worked. This is an unacceptable product.

    Questions

    1 - 6 of 6 Questions

Q: Can I use this as a puppy litter? I’m looking pellets safe for puppies. Pine is not safe.

    1 Answer
    • A: We use wood pellets for our cats in their litter box and have been for about 9 years. they work great and are sooooo much cheaper than kitty litter. Not sure about puppies.

Q: Two things: one question asked if they're kiln-dried but the answer wasn't direct. Can you confirm? Also, are there any accelerants?

    1 Answer
    • A: Le processus de fabrication reste le meme d'un modèle de granule a un autre. Le degré d'humidité du bois est ajusté avant la formation de la granule. Les essences et la technologie en usine change par contre. Aucun accélérant

    1 Answer
    • A: The Elite pellets are manufactured for the purpose of heating. BBQ’s / smokers should use food-grade pellets that are manufactured for that purpose.

Q: Since these pellets are made from the "same wood used to produce fine hardwood flooring and furniture" could they include glues or are they treated with other chemicals?

    1 Answer
    • A: Absolutely not…there are no glues or other chemicals used in the manufacturing of our hardwood pellets. We retrieve only the hardwood in its natural form from our flooring division (all the hardwood they do not use to make their flooring with, i.e. any of their excess pieces of hardwood)
