Beware claims about batteries.

Machine is excellent at removing snow, but battery duration and charging times are no where near what local hardware store claimed. As I found out with on-line research they were quoting me time data for upgraded batteries and charging unit, not what they sold me.

power is excellent when it's working. Had no issues with moving 10 - 12 inches of snow.

Used it three times already. A foot of drifted snow was no problem. Chute adjustment and direction work well. Ran about an hour with full power to the blades and thrust mechanism. Light weight enough to maneuver easily and drive mechanism speed control functions very well.

Very easy to maneuver and lighter than a gas snowblower. It easily cleared our 75' driveway with only 1/3 of battery usage. It throws snow nicely. Very pleased with this snowblower.

The performance of this model is very good and it is pretty easy to operate once you get used to the difference to a gas blower. The convenience of the battery power and the clean smell are superior to using a gas blower and it has instant torque as well. If you are looking at gas blowers I suggest you also check these out!
Some drawbacks on this model though are the handles are not heated, the wheel spin is higher (probably because of the lighter weight) and the battery charging produces a mild odour when charging (can’t be charged outside)
Overall I would recommend this blower and would probably purchase again (or similar in 10 to 15 years)

A: I have a Hyundai Santafe SUV, I was not able to put the snowblower in the back without removing the package box from it, It will fit without the box just the snowblower and the tools only.

Q: how is the 2405 for maneuverability in tight spaces, as does not have trigger controlled steering. Also can the 7.5Ah batteries be interchanged for 10Ah batteries?

A: I have no issue maneuvering it around my flower beds that curve adjacent to my sidewalk or around cars in the laneway. The 12Ah battery fits just fine and runs along side a 7.5ah or technically by itself. (12Ah batteries are expensive, I will eventually get another) I don't think the 10Ah ones are available anymore.

Q: Can I vary the throwing distance? I have some areas where there isn't much room to throw. Wanting to know if I can decrease it to a shorter throwing distance when needed.

A: Hi there, Ruggy! Great question. We do not recommend that the Snow Blower be used on graveled surface unless the snow blower is adjusted for such a surface in accordance with the operator’s manual. You can reference the proper adjustments on page 30 of the Snow Blowers owners manual. Thank you!
