Freezing auger

I suppose the unit works as billed but it continuously freezes up. After reading all owners manuals throughly there is no mention of this problem. The auger itself Freezes. The phone agent had no recommendation to the flashing code lights on handle bar. They only sent another survey ! It was just a last minute ditch effort that led us to the problem. Thawing out a snowblower in living room of our small house was not a pleasant experience. And now we have to bring unit into warm house after every use. Seems strange that a snowblower needs to be kept indoors - next to our living furniture.

Hi there, William! We appreciate you taking the time to review the EGO SNT2125AP kit. We're sorry to hear that your blower keeps freezing up. The recommended operating temperature is between -4°F–50°F and the recommended storage temperature is between -4°F–158°F. If your auger continues to freeze we would advise turning off the blower and removing the batteries and turn the auger by hand several times to release it. If the auger is too frozen to be rotated, rest it in room temperature or above freezing conditions for at least 30 minutes. Then turn the auger by hand for several turns to release it. Reinstall the batteries and try to starting the snow blower again. We hope this helps and appreciate your review!

Have only used this snowblower one time so far, but was pleased with how the unit performed. Plenty of power. Bought this unit to replace an EGO non-auger propelled snowblower Model #SNT-2112, which I found difficult and strenuous to use.

1 battery only lasts about 20 minutes. I don’t have 2 batteries to test but I’d say it would last 30 minutes with more power. It throws the snow relatively far, maybe a max of 5 meters.

I was surprised how well it thru 5 inches of heavy wet snow. Definitely would purchase agin. Also plenty of battery power from the 7.5 amp hr battery. Cleared 2 residential properties and still has over 25 % power.
