Fan does not work on stove. It turns on very sporadically and is not determined by the heat of stove. Tried contacting the company’s customer service but so far have received no response.

A: Hi Darrick, Yes, our Ecofans are made in Georgian Bluffs, Ontario, Canada, and have been in production since 1994. Canadian Tire does sell our Ecofans, and they can be found in most stores, or online.

Q: Bonjour j’ai acheté un ventilateur ecofan 812 en 2018 il a super bien fonctionné cette année les pales ne se mettent plus en route toutes seules et tournent moins vite que les premières années est-ce que c’est normale ?

Q: Does this fan push alot more air than the Ecofan? Beside just saying 50 CFM. How much is 50 cfm noticeable?

A: Hi Woodsman. Thank you for your question. The 812 AirMax model Ecofan is a genuine Ecofan. It is the largest model compared to the smaller sizes of the 810 UltrAir and 800 Original models. It moves 175 CFM's of air and is recommended for a room size of 240+ square feet.

A: Thank you for your question. This Ecofan AirMax is designed for use on a freestanding wood stove. With a pellet stove you will require the 806 BelAir model as it is designed to operate with lower surface temperatures compared to the wood stove models.

A: Hi Norayr! Thank you for your question. I'm sorry but no the Ecofan will not work by placing it in front of a fireplace. The Ecofan requires the direct surface heat from a free standing stove and it also requires to be placed on the stove top where it will receive cooler room temperature air to flow through the fins on the top of the Ecofan.

Our 800 Original, 810 UltrAir and 812 AirMax models are designed for use on freestanding wood stoves.

Q: Will this work in front of a wood fireplace as opposed to a wood stove?

A: The Ecofan will not work in front of a wood fireplace. The Ecofan is designed to be used on the top of free standing stoves. For the Ecofan to function properly, the base requires the direct heat from the stove top surface and the top fins of the Ecofan require cooler room temperature air to flow through them (this involves proper placement on the stovetop).
