Had to return because it wasn't throwing out the proper heat expected. The whole coil was not getting red, therefore, not enough heat.

I bought this model heater three winters ago and so far it keeps my insulated Garage warm when I need it.
Keeps our vehicles warm when it's cold out and I can comfortably work in the Garage on the coldest days.

Save your cash & buy a reputable brand.
Purchased October 1, 2025.
Today November24, 2025 (almost 2 months of warmth) she's done for. No heat.
Meanwhile I have a Heat star5000/4000/3000 Watt running in another building for 7 plus years for the same cost.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Can this heater be placed on a wood floor? How far away from furniture and wall should it be placed?

A: I would not recommend placing this heater on a wood floor. It is designed to be suspended from the wall/ceiling bracket. It needs air flow beneath it and would likely damage your floor and potentially cause a fire.

Q: If you set the thermostat and the heater reaches the desired temp will it shut off? Then will it turn on again if it dips below?

A: Yes, once you set the thermostat's wheel to the desired level it will shut-off and restart on demand. But I've noticed that if you set-it to Max then it remains On all the time.

Q: I've had this unit 7 months. The heating coil broke apart, shooting sparks across my garage floor. Yes I left it on the floor. I couldn't mount it to a wall in my garage. It worked really well. What could have caused this?

A: Cheap quality maybe. The previous version, which looked identical, was recalled. That is a major safety issue you should report to company.

Q: Hello. Ive had a problem with the thermostat sticking on. What is the overheat protection set at? Will this heater keep running, or will it shut down at a certain temperature? I know the box says there is overheat protection.

Q: NEMA PLUG #6-30P / 30 AMP 240 V Why is this plug so hard to find? I need an extension cord (about 10-12 feet long) and can not find one. Thinking of cutting off the plug and installing a twist lock!

A: Not sure but are you trying to plug it into a regular 120 amp outlet. I returned it once I discovered that it needed 240 v outlet.

Q: How many kwh does this unit use? And can it be used on a regular house service or has to be 240?

A: Houses are almost always wired for 240v in the panel. A separate power feed similar to a stove or dryer will be needed to power this thing.
