No quality control?

Out of 4 purchased pipes 4 were returned due to physical damage at the ends and sides of the pipes (The boxes were pristine) The next 4 I had to exchange 2 due to manufacturing damage at the ends. Make sure to remove the pipes from the boxes, check both ends and the entire length of the pipe.

It does the job it is supposed to, I like the quick attachment for the cap on the top, or an extra extension, fits together so easily. It is expensive, but that is because it is designed as it is and isn't tinny or weak.

Q: For this 6" X 36" stainless chimney pipe, you state the "assembled width" to be 5.98 in. How can this be possible? The interior dimension should be 6" but depending on the insulation built into the pipe, I would expect this dimension to be 10".

A: The outside diameter is 10" the inside diameter is 6" there is 2" of insulation between the outer wall and the inner wall. The assembled of 5.98" is the inside diameter of the inner pipe.

Q: Is there a ceiling support box for the 6dpc2? I've contacted duravent company and they can't say. They tell me I need a 6dp2-cs and to contact Canadian Tire. But you guys have nothing listed...

A: It seems to me that getting all the required parts for a chimney install is fairly difficult, I would suggest online ordering when possible and be prepared for a considerable wait time. The support that I used in my installation is a wall band. Part number DPC2-AWBU. It seems like a quality support and I do believe that one is required for every 8' of chimney. It is indeed a separate box. There is a manual and catalogue available online. Shoot me an email if you have any more questions. Good luck!
