excellent woodstove, great quality for the money, we were looking at spending around $4000 for our stove this is a highly efficient stove able to heat 3000 square feet for less than half the price

Great stove

Very efficient stove, lives up to expectations. The only issue is that it takes a bit of practice to get it lit, and hot before loading it up. Also you must load it quickly to avoid filling the house with smoke.

Drolet escape 2100.

Replaced the Timber ridge stove I bought from Canadian tire with this Drolet. 100% better.
DO NOT BUY A TIMBER RIDGE !! It smoked into my house no matter what I did and fell apart after couple months of intermittent use.
The Drolet is way better and I have had no issues so far with same set up as other garbage stove.

Q: After doing some research on the Drolet website, this stove has something called an "air mate". Is this a heat exchanger and how does it work?

A: I’ve checked in the my owners manual and can’t find anything in the parts list with air mate. The stove has an optional outside air kit what I think is what there talking about . I have this stove for a year now and recommend it. Great purchase no regrets.

A: Hello! The clearances may vary depending if you install the unit with single stove pipe or double wall stove pipe. The clearances can be found the the Drolet web site, on the Escape 2100 product page. Look in the tab "Tech Specs". Also, in the general tab, you can download the owner's manual. There is a section on installation that gives you all the requirements, including the mininum hearth size. Ler us know if we can help with anything else.

Q: Does this stove have a built in blower ? And if not which stoves does?

A: Thank you for your interest in our product. The Escape 2100 stove model does not come with a blower, the optional blower Drolet part number is AC02050. Other models that may come with the blower included such as the Classic may not meet the same heating needs. A: The firebox dimensions are 12 7/8" h x 22 7/8" w x 20 1/8" d. The weight of the stove is 498 lbs.
