Had rodents chew the wires in the engine bay of my vehicle the other night. bought a can of this. sprayed a ton allover the wires that were being chewed and all around the engine bay. next day the wires were chewed even more, almost like it did the opposite and ATTRACTED more rodents..
I'm guessing this is going to cost thousands to repair now that they've completely chewed through a ton of wires.. anyhow, this stuff definitely does not repel rodents. what a scam.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Don't breath when using

Keeps the rodents out of my engine compartment - the little critters did a lot of expensive chewing under the hood on a number of wires. Have to re-spray every two months. Do not breath when spraying, this stuff tastes terrible - no wonder why the critters don't eat the insulation on the wires (why do the auto manufacturers use wire insulation that contains starch?).

I used this around the exterior of my mobile home to deter rodents, didn't do a thing. My neighbour used it to spray the wires into the hood of her car, haven't seen if it has worked yet for that.

A: Selon mon expérience avec ce produit je dirais que oui les oiseaux seront affectés/ repoussés car même nous ressentons un effet désagréable près d'une surface qui a été vaporiséedonc je ne l'utiliserais PAS près d'une mangeoire.

Q: Bought Doktor doom original rodent repellent and it does not spray I bought it last month and just tried to use it today there fore do not still have the receipt to return to store. Very disappointed as rats are eating the produce in my garden.

A: This product is useless. Wet tree (wood) surface with one, two, even three coats or dry is not changing the behaviour of the red or black squirrels or house mise.

A: It says you should spray a small test area on the exterior of your house to make sure it doesn’t stain or remove the texture. In the attic it should be fine just make sure to wear gloves and wash your hands. We spray ours over our car engines to keep the rats from chewing the wires....works great.

Q: Is it safe to spray it close to/on lawn or plants? and does it work with chipmunks?

A: Yes it is approved to spray on Plants and on grass if used as per label directions. Do not apply to any plants that you want to eat-they will taste terrible. Chipmunks like squirrels are hard to get rid of if they “are in their territory” as they are very territorial. Although deterrents are good at preventing them from damaging surfaces they will not keep them away from their nest if this what you are trying to prevent. They have been known to gnaw through concrete, steel etc to get to their nests. Trap them and remove them at least 20 miles from their nest to keep them away or hire a professional to remove them.

A: Yes apply to a cold engine area spray liberally, let dry and repeat. May last up to a year if you do this. The heat from the engine may reduce the effectiveness so reapply after use.

A: Yes you can, treat them to point of runoff and permit to dry. After drying apply again with same instruction allow to dry. This could last for up to one year to deter rodents from chewing on whatever you treat with this product.
