Failed and flooded bathroom after 16 months

I installed this faucet Nov 2023. Yesterday the internal mechanisms began leaking and the water ran down the supply lines, pooled in the vanity cupboard, spilled out and flooded the bathroom and the room below my bathroom. I triple checked my supply lines, connections, and shut offs to eliminate the possibility of these as source of water. They were fine. Then I removed the faucet, re-connected it to the supply lines and confirmed that the leak originates from the internal mechanism where the supply lines meet the faucet (non-serviceable sealed unit). Receipt in hand I returned these to Canadian Tire where I discovered a lifetime warranty for exchange. Not wanting to take the risk again with this brand, I was able to convince the staff to allow me to credit my exchange towards a Moen faucet, giving me peace of mind. Worth paying an additional $120 for a faucet with similar aesthetic from a more trusted brand. Thankful we weren't out of town. Lifetime exchange warranties are great, except when the failure of the product floods and damages your home.

Instructions wrong

Similar to a previous reviewer, I found the instructions to be confusing. They said to put the flat washer (bb) under the sink. I did this and broke the washer prior to realizing the instructions were wrong. Otherwise, it seems to be a nice faucet.

Pretty but poor finish quality

Black finish has peeled off of my bathroom tap. Sad to say this is my second replace meant on this and it has peeled again after a year. I use non-abrasive cleaning products also , so extra disappointed. I’ve had to take this out twice now I would definitely not recommend buying this.
