If your vehicle is not equipped with wiring for towing a trailer, CURT custom wiring is the ideal solution. A custom wiring harness -- also called a T-connector -- is a simple, plug-and-play electrical device that plugs into your automotive electric system and provides a standard, universal trailer wiring connection. This is done using two or more vehicle-specific, OEM-compatible connectors to plug into the taillight assembly, eliminating the need for cutting, splicing and soldering during installation. Custom wiring harnesses are made vehicle-specific, and while they are not available for all vehicles, they do offer one of the fastest, easiest and most secure ways to wire a vehicle for towing. This particular plug-in harness provides a 4-way flat connector socket and is designed to be a custom wiring harness to fit certain years of the Infiniti FX35, FX37, FX50 and QX70 (to verify your vehicle compatibility, see application info). Q: Attempting to install this kit on my 2017 Honda Accord Touring Sedan (installing Curt 56299), I am ending up with a plug at the driver-side tail light with a red & white wire on it, that there is no plug on the tail light to plug it into. Any ideas?

A: So I did follow-up with Curt customer service a few days ago, and they advised me that Curt part # 56299 is for the US Accord, and for the Canadian Accord, I'd need Curt part # 56173. Oddly enough their website indicated that this wiring harness is for the hybrid '16 & '17 Accord, however based on the pictures of the harness, it has the right number of plugs to match my Canadian '17 Accord touring sedan (non-hybrid, with the 2.4L engine), so I've ordered that one accordingly.

Came with everything needed for my 2015 CRV and more! Came with the required 10A fuse for the fusebox, the shelf-tapping screw for the ground and double sided sticky tape. Had a bunch of zip-ties left over that I think they just include with every kit. Found a professional youTube video for my exact model that made it easy. Most of the time was spent pulling trim panels off and putting them back on.
