  • Cooper Discoverer S/T MAXX Tire features Cooper’s proven and reliable 3-ply “Armor-Tek3®” carcass construction combined with a new, proprietary cut and chip resistant tread compound

  • With that combination along with its modern hybrid 4-5 rib tread design and unique tread features, the S/TMAXX is destined to be a commercial grade traction tire that will perform in the toughest terrains while retaining remarkable on-road traction, stability and low noise characteristics

  • Cooper's proven, class-leading 3-ply Armor-Tek3 construction contributes to the durability of the S/TMAXX by adding strength to the sidewall and tread area

  • A unique angled ply construction absorbs and helps dissipate tire impact forces that can damage a tire in harsh off-road conditions

  • The tread compound is formulated with a unique blend of natural rubber and silica that provides exceptional wet traction and confident handling on the highway, while also delivering excellent cut and chip resistance on unpaved, rocky and gravel terrain

  • Strategically placed ribs within the lateral grooves of the tread design help to discharge stones and resist stone drilling

  • The optimized design of the buttress area provides additional off-road traction, abrasion and puncture resistance

  • Rugged design minimizes the potential for damage due to scrapes and abrasion when used in difficult terrain

Great every where but Mud and FWY

Ive had these for well over a year. Drove them to Utah, Arizona, Nevada, up the 395 in California, a Few trails in Big Bear and all the popular trails in SoCal. Ive used them with confidence in Snow, dirt and rocks. They are a let down in Mud ... They tend to pack mud to the point you wont get traction and its like skating on ice. The other down side is ... alot of people say they pull to the right. But they seem to wonder for me on the freeway. To the point that it becomes a chore driving long distance. Play with tire pressures from 33 to 40psi. They still wonder from 60 to 70mph. But once you get close to 80mph or pass 75mph. The wondering slows down. The wear is good. But like I said Im tired of the wondering on the freeway and constantly watching out for it... Will try to move on from these as soon as I decide which ones I want to go with.

No, I do not recommend this product.

We use the Cooper STMAXX as our go to tire for all our trucks. They offer high performance on dirt, are rugged on the gravel roads we frequent, have excellent road manners, are tough and give us exceptional service life. We love this tire!

    Great truck tire!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a set on a Silverado and they were awesome! Great off road traction and a good ride on the road! Sadly the truck got totalled so I didn't get to see how much mileage I got out of them but in the 25k I had on them they seemed to be wearing good. But when my new Ram 2500 needs tires it will definitely be getting a set of Cooper ST Maxx's!

    Yes, I recommend this product.
