Whether you want to chase adventure through off-road trails or take longer highway commutes, you can do it all. Plus, it can handle severe weather. In short, the Discoverer AT3 4S helps you do what you want, when you want.

  • The Cooper Discoverer A/T3 Tire tread compound enhances wet traction and rolling resistance, while the aggressive tread design significantly improves off-road traction without sacrificing highway performance

  • The aggressive all terrain design is engineered to provide outstanding performance in both on-road and off-road driving applications

  • The tread compound is formulated with a chemically coupled silica and carbon black mixture that provides excellent wet traction and handling on the highway, while also improving cut and chip resistance in more harsh rocky and gravel terrain

  • Nylon is strategically positioned and applied in a manner to resist flat spotting for improved ride quality and a balanced, even treadwear for longer tread life

    Not the greatest

Bought these tires last year and have more problems trying to balance them then anything else. Tires look nice but i have 9 ounces on one of the tires and can still feel it wobbling.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I got Cooper tires for my 2015 GMC Sierra and I can tell you after 6000 miles I really like them. Very quiet and winter is coming, so I can't do a snow review at this time.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    1 Answer
    • A: The Cooper Discoverer A/T3 was engineered to be the best, all-around all-terrain tire for SUVs and trucks. That includes outstanding resistance to cutting and chipping in off-pavement conditions as well as best in wet grip. It is very capable and dependable in winter conditions as well. If a truck owner is more than 40% off-road consider the Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx which is more of an aggressive, commercial traction tire with even more cut-and-chip resistance.

Q: 33X12.50R15LT available at Canadian Tire? Cooper lists a 33X12.50R15LT tire size option for the Discoverer AT3, but you don't have one on your site. Can you get this size in? If so, what is the price per tire?

    1 Answer
    • A: We would suggest speaking to the Parts Manager of your local Canadian Tire store regarding the possibility of placing a special order.

    1 Answer
    • A: Unfortunately the Discoverer A/T3 does not come in that size. Cooper does carry the Discoverer STT in that size, other options include the Grabber AT2 and the Goodyear Wrangler MTR.

Q: 315/70R17. CT recommends a 8.5" wide rim but manufactor says 8". Will there warranty issues if mounted on a 8" wide rim ?

    1 Answer
    • A: On a 315/70R17 tire the recommended rim widths by Cooper Tire for our products are 8.5 inches as a minimum to a maximum of 10.0 inches. If you go to an 8.0 inch wide rim, the following “will” happen. 1. The beads of the tire will be pinched in causing the tread to peak up in the center. The “peaked” tread will a. Result in rapid center wear of the tread face. b. You will be running on only a portion of the tread what would have the same result as “overloading” the tire. 2. Use of the improper rim width would void the warranty.

Q: Are these tires 4 ply or 10 ply ?

    1 Answer
    • A: This tire is neither 4ply or 10 ply, it is an XL tire. It has a 111load carrying capacity. The max carrying capacity if it is going on a light truck is 2185 pounds per tire. If it is being used in a passenger tire type application it max carrying capacity is a 2403 pounds. I suggest that you look at the sticker on the inside door jam of the driver’s door. There should be a plate or sticker that will tell the tire size and the gross vehicle weight. Also in the owner’s manual it will tell you the load per axle. From there you can determine the weight carrying capacity requirement of each tire. Just take the axle weight divide by two. IMPORTANT: Check axle weight front and rear as they will vary.
