Did not work.

I purchased this unit specifically for my trip to Cuba, trusting its claim that it could convert from 220V to 110V. However, it failed completely. The very first time I used it with my 110V heating pad, it caused irreparable damage to my device. This product is unreliable and unacceptable. There is no way to test it before leaving Canada. I am extremely disappointed and strongly advise against buying it.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Not so great

Worked in Cuba, but just barely. I wanted to use it for a small corded electric razor that works pretty nicely, but the voltage provided by the adapter was so low it pulled rather than cut my whiskers.

A: Hi there, We believe that this adaptor will work for your shaver. On the "lo" setting, this unit will convert up to 25 watts which is used for electric shavers. A: Ah, I see now why they said it shouldn't be used for an iron over 25 watts. That's only on the low setting. Flip the switch to HI and you can power an iron rated between 25 and 1875 watts. That's enough for any job!

A: TS702CRC had the Type G plug but specified for use in UK, Ireland, HK, Africa and Singapore It doesn’t have the Type D plug. The unit also had the 2 round pin plug which is for Europe and middle east The converter converts 220-240V to 110-120v for use with most NA appliances rated 0-1875 watts.

Q: Can I use this on the high setting with a curling iron that is over 25 watts? The back of the package says use the high setting for 26-1875 watts irons, steamers, hair dryers etc. But below it says do not use with electronic appliances exceeding 25 watts. My curling iron is 85 watts and my hair crimper is 180 watts.

A: It works fine with any products on high wattage for maximum 1 hour (they recommend 30 minutes maximum) and on low wattage for continuous usage (I.E.: charging electronics overnight)
