Second one I’ve bought. First one was with a wooden rollup door. Zero problems, maybe ten years in had to change the code because the button contacts start to require heavy pressing. Second one is great as well, but with a metal insulated door. I programmed it first to make sure it worked with the existing operator. All good except the location I installed it was blocked by the door metal. If I held my car remote opener in the same spot, it wouldn’t work either. Some sort of magic dead spot. Added a bit of wire to my operator antenna and it’s all good. I could have moved the opener 6” higher or lower, but didn’t want unused screw holes in the aluminum trim around the garage door.

Hijacks motor programming

The only way I can get it to pair to my garage door is by deprogramming every other remote from my garage door. Then after it pairs, I can't pair any of my other remotes to my garage door. I can have one or the other, not both.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: This keypad does not have a temporary pin feature. However, you can search for model G940EVC-P2MC which does have this feature.

Q: How does this product work in Freezing temperatures? Has it been tested outside in Canada?

A: We do not give it a temperature rating, and I am sure that we do not because it would also depend on the battery being used in the unit. At what temperature does the battery stop functioning would be the answer to that question. We do test our product in a cold freezer chamber up to around -2to-5 degrees c with a full functioning battery.

A: The Chamberlain universal keyless entry takes a 9 volt battery that will last from a 1 to 2 years depending on its usage and the variation of the weather can potentially drain the battery.
