Customer Experience Matters

While the final product may be ok, there are so many seriously wrong issues with not only this Chamberlain product, but their garage door openers as well. Here are a just a brief synopsis:
- no written instructions AT ALL with their products - its all on line - not having written instructions may save the company money, but its all at the customer expense. No respect for the customer;
- the rail extension kit consists of two rails and a chain - it sells for about a third of the total cost of a whole Chamberlain garage door opener. Ripoff;
-further the extension replaces two pieces of the original rail for the garage door opener - an end piece which is a bit bigger than the end piece of the original, and a middle piece, which is the same size as the original - so, for about $150 they sell you one piece of rail and a chain. Ripoff;
- many of the necessary pieces for the install are not provided - like the hanging L bracketts. No thought of the customer;
-some of the pieces they do provide are shoddy - for example the lag bolts that attach to the garage door - in most garage doors they are next to useless - need to attach the lift bracket with lag bolts. Cheap;
- they say it takes one person to install, then in parts of their install video, they say you need 2 people - which you do! Dishonest marketing
- they say it takes 3 - 4 hours to install - it took almost 12 hours, partly because of their lack of written instructions and the fact that you needed other hardware not supplied to install the product. Dishonest
So whether their product is installed
