Questions

1 - 10 of 15 Questions

Q: This is advertised as food-grade, but does not bear an NSF imprint nor any other indication that a health officer should approve its use with food. Where can I get a product page or manufacturer's statement saying it's safe for food contact?

2 Answers
  • A: For food storage, the safest plastic grades are generally HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), LDPE (Low-Density Polyethylene), and PP (Polypropylene), often indicated by recycling codes 2, 4, and 5, respectively. These plastics are considered food-safe because they don't leach harmful chemicals into food and are resistant to temperature changes and moisture.

Q: How much weight, with lid on, can the bucket support if I need to stack multiple full buckets?

1 Answer
  • A: I've stacked 4 containers full of liquid ( approx 15 pounds each) with no sign of buckling. I'm guessing could go as high as 6-8 containers but I also noticed the stack gets a little wobbly after 4.
